The 1924 Winter Olympics were the first of its kind to be held, actually being named ‘The International Winter Sports Week’. Norway won the most medals with a total of 17, which wasn’t a surprise, they had completely dominated the sports with the next best country, Finland, winning just 10 medals; however both countries did win the same amount of gold medals, 4 each.
